Refugees in Denmark: "What can I do to help?"

Event Description

Photo: Røde Kors

The solution to the refugee crisis is a hotly contested political topic.
But whatever the solution, most agree that the present humanitarian crisis is huge, and that the refugees need to be helped.

JCI Herning International is arranging an event where people interested in the topic and helping can meet and discuss some ways to become actively involved.

There will be two guests:

  • A refugee, who is sharing his stories about the life in his home country, his experience of fleeing through Europe, and his current life in Denmark;
  • Britta Brandt from the Red Cross, who is giving an overview of how the Red Cross and Denmark are currently helping the refugees.

After the presentation round, we are going to have a small discussion to gather ideas on “What can I do?” and share it with others.

NB! The event is free of charge, but registration is needed. In order to participate, please sign up on the right latest on 11 June!
